Theory:

2 Understand the architecture, interfaces and radio links of GSM network.
2.1 Mention the frequency bands of GSM.
2.2 Mention the general objectives of GSM public land mobile network (PLMN).
2.3 Describe the architecture of GSM PLMN.
2.4 Describe the subsystems of GSM.
2.5 Describe the radio, BTS to BSC, BSC to MSC interfaces and interfaces between other GSM entities.
2.6 Describe the mapping of GSM layers onto OSI layers.
2.7 Describe the functional model and entity groupings of North American PCS-1900.

** Visit a mobile station and prepare a report.
